Catering

We bring the birds.

The food we cook every day, for ten people or two hundred: picked up hot, delivered and set up, or served by our own crew. Priced per head, with the sum worked out as you go.

(631) 555-0140, Tuesday to Saturday, 9 am to 4 pm. Ask for Cal.

A long linen-covered table in a garden, set by our catering crew: platters of carved chicken, wooden bowls of salad, baskets of bread, a tray of potatoes, stacked plates.

Questions

What people ask before they order.

Lead times, minimums, how far the van goes and what happens to the leftovers.

How much notice do you need?

Three days for pickup, a week for delivery and two weeks for a staffed supper. A month for anything over a hundred guests. If it is sooner than that, call. Cal has said yes to worse.

Is there a minimum?

Ten guests for pickup, fifteen for delivery and twenty-five for a staffed supper. The Sunday Table starts at twelve and The Whole Works at twenty.

How far do you deliver?

Within 25 miles of any of our three kitchens, which covers most of the north shore from Oyster Bay to Orient. Shelter Island by ferry, for the cost of the ferry.

What about allergies and diets?

Tell us in the notes. The cauliflower is vegan, most sides are vegetarian, and every tray is labelled with what is in it. Our kitchens use wheat, dairy, eggs and sesame. Nothing on the catering menu contains nuts, but we cannot promise a nut-free kitchen.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Add compostable plates, cutlery and napkins for $1.50 a head. A staffed supper comes with real ones, and we wash them.

How does payment work?

Nothing is charged from this form. Cal replies with a written quote; a quarter of it holds the date and the rest is due three days before, by a payment link in the invoice.

Can we change the numbers or cancel?

Guest counts can move up or down until three days before. Cancel a week ahead and the deposit comes back in full.

Who keeps the leftovers?

You do. We bring boxes.
