Getting here.
By car: Main Street is Route 25A; Tallow Lane runs north from it, two minutes' walk east of New York Avenue. Park in either village lot off Main Street.
By train: the LIRR to Huntington, then ten minutes north by taxi.
Running late: text (631) 555-0149.

Five minutes before.
The door is unmarked except for a small brass plate. Inside is a bench in oxblood leather where the next seating waits. Arrive five minutes before your time; we start the seating together, and a late arrival joins the menu where the room is. Coats go on the hooks above the bench.

Around the village
Before dinner, or after it.
Six places a short walk or drive from the door, with the timing that makes each one work around a seating. They are neighbors, nothing more: we just like them.

Access.
The entrance is step-free from Tallow Lane. The counter is 92 cm high; at stools 6 and 7 a lowered 76 cm section takes chairs with arms or a wheelchair. The restroom is step-free with a grab rail. The room smells of beeswax and wood smoke; tell us if that is a problem and we will seat you at the far end of an arm.
