We opened in March, so this will be the room's first New Year's Eve. Guests have asked about it since August, most of them from the late seating, and most of them wanting to sit there again on the 31st.
The 17:30 and the 19:45 run as on any other night: seven courses, ninety minutes, booked online like every other evening. The 21:30 is different. It becomes a New Year's counter, and it is not on the online book.
The late counter
It starts at half past nine and runs past midnight: ten courses at an easier pace, the wine or the tea pairing included, and a toast at twelve with the Auslese poured for everyone at the counter, whatever they drank before it. The candles are replaced once, at a quarter to midnight, all twelve together.
Its twelve seats are sold by the ticket, 295 each, on the events page. When they are gone there is a waitlist, and June works through it in the order people joined.
