Every pot ships in two boxes. The inner box fits the pot with 5 cm of paper honeycomb all round. The outer box fits the inner box with 5 cm more. No foam, no peanuts, nothing that ends up in a drawer.
We drop-test one box from each packing day: 90 cm onto concrete, corner first. If the pot inside survives, the day’s boxes go. One jug didn’t, once. We went from two wraps of honeycomb to three.
Nothing that ends up in a drawer.
Parcels leave the village post office on Tuesdays and Fridays. Most reach New York and New England in two days, California in five.
Furniture doesn’t go in a box. It goes in a crate we build from the offcuts of the job, and two of us drive it to you if you’re on Long Island or in the city. The crate comes back with us and becomes the next crate.
